Supposedly, Hemingway once wrote a story in six words: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." I'm no Hemingway, but I dig the idea of ultra-short stories.

814. The quality of being stubborn
The branches of the two old trees met above the centre of the street.
The winter weather had been unkind to them.
Someday, they'd succumb to their wounds and fall together.
